A graduate of Brown University in Providence, Rhode Island, Stephen Robert holds a degree in political science. He went on to establish himself as a leader in the New York City financial services sector. Highlights of Stephen Robert’s accomplished career include tenures as chief executive officer and board chairman of both Renaissance Institutional Management and the Oppenheimer Group. He has shared his financial expertise as a contributing writer to Forbes Magazine.
Beyond the world of finance, Stephen Robert is a founder and trustee of the Source of Hope Foundation and has a history of philanthropic giving that has led to the establishment of a new Rapid Medical Evaluation Center, which was dedicated at the Columbia Presbyterian Hospital. The Source of Hope Foundation funded this project and a new classroom building and an extension of the Watson Institute for International and Public Affairs on the Brown University campus. Mr. Robert is also maintains deep interests in foreign relations. He has served as the board chairmen of the Watson Institute and sat on the Council on Foreign Relations for the Brookings Institute.
